West Town Academy enrolls students throughout the entire school year and over the summer.
WTA hosts multiple, two-week prospective enrollee pre-orientation sessions throughout the whole year, which include structured programming in: life skills development, career exploration; an opportunity to meet staff and learn about West Town Academy’s programs; and mentoring program expectations-which include re-enrolling in high school and the lifetime expected advantages of, earning a high school diploma and entering a post-secondary college, career, or occupational training pathway.
These pre-orientation periods also give WTA program staff an opportunity to meet with prospective students to determine eligibility, educational needs, and barriers to success. During this period, prospective participants must provide required eligibility documentation, including a release letter or proof of completion from prior high school, as applicable. During the pre-orientation period, all prospective program participants learn about all available mentoring services.
